Advent and christmas on the border of jazz and pop

Klára Hajdu and Milán Szakonyi are quite well known and sought after musicians of both jazz and pop scene in Hungary. 

Klára is a prominent figure in Hungarian jazz life. On the Hungarian jazz portals, jazzma.hu and magyarjazz.hu, she was chosen as “Singer of the Year” again in 2021. She performed in a lot of European cities and in the USA too. She sang for almost a decade long with one of the most popular local jazz band, the Elemér Balázs Group, and now she is leading her own quartet for 14 years. 

Milán is one of the most special voice of Hungary. He is the current singer of the Elemér Balázs Group for 10 years. He is guitarist, arranger, composer in the band of Boggie and he works with the pianist Aron Romhanyi too.

Klara and Milan’s first original composition, “You’re Gonna Rise” was elected into the top 30 hits of A Dal2019, the Hungarian selections of Eurovision Song Contest. Both of them are keen on wandering between music genres. 

This concert will be featuring some of their own compositions as well as their favourite well known jazz and pop songs and Christmas classics.

A Láthatatlan Színház olyan dramatikus műfaj, amely a látás érzékszervének ideiglenes kikapcsolásán alapszik. Színészei a révészek, ők vezetik és segítik a résztvevőket, a vándorokat. Az előadás leginkább vándorút. Ez a “színház”olyan kapu, amelyen való átlépés befelé és felfelé vezet.

CÉL: A képzés láthatatlan színház műfajú darabok alkotására, előadások megszervezésére jogosít, valamint a »LÁTHATATLAN SZÍNHÁZ®« védjegyoltalom alatt álló név használati jogát is biztosítja egy meghatározott belső körben (pl.: saját gyülekezet, iskolai, egyetemi közösség stb.).

Ecstatic Dance Oradea: Cacao Ceremony and Live DJ Set w/ Maatus Pealler

Ecstatic dance is a form of meditation that invites the listener to move consciously and freely guided by the sound of music. Dance is an offering that we bring to our well-being. Through dance we become whole, we learn to be free and we heal ourselves. 

The event begins with a cacao ceremony that helps us open up and connect with those around us, with the space that we are in and with the present. The healing proprieties of this plant and its ability to energize the body and clear the mind have been known since the time of the Maya civilization.

The ceremonial grade cacao that we offer comes from Peru. Because it is not heavily processed, it retains most of its properties, unlike the regular cacao found in commerce. Besides magnesium, iron, calcium and B vitamins, cacao contains a special ingredient, theobromine, which is a bitter, diuretic alkaloid that stimulates the heart.

After the cacao ceremony that will be prepared by Diana comes a guided warm-up with Petra through which we prepare our body for dancing and we find our place under the wooden vault of the Posticum chapel, the spiritual and harmonious oasis that will accommodate us for three hours.

The musical journey will be guided by Andrei, known by his stage name Maatus Pealler, who is a storyteller that weaves in his DJ sets authentic music from all over the world.

Dansul conștient sau extatic este o formă de meditație în care participanții sunt invitați să se miște liber sub vraja muzicii. Dansul este o ofrandă pe care o aducem bunăstării noastre. Prin dans ne întregim, învățăm să fim liberi și ne vindecăm.

Evenimentul începe cu o ceremonie cu cacao al cărei scop este acela de a ne ajuta să ne deschidem și să ne conectăm cu cei din jurul nostru, cu spațiul în care ne aflăm și cu prezentul. Proprietățile vindecătoare ale acestei plante și puterea ei de a energiza trupul și de a limpezi mintea au fost cunoscute de mii de ani, ea fiind folosită de azteci și mayași în ceremoniile care marcau cele mai importante momente ale vieții.

Cacao de grad ceremonial pe care o oferim vine din Peru. Deoarece este foarte puțin procesată, aceasta își păstrează cea mai mare parte a proprietăților pe care cacao obișnuită le pierde. Pe lângă magneziu, fier, calciu și vitamine B, cacao conține un ingredient special, teobromina, care e un alcaloid amar, diuretic, stimulent pentru inimă și vasodilatator.

După ceremonia cu cacao pregătită de Diana urmează o încălzire ghidată cu Petra prin care ne pregătim corpul pentru dans și ne găsim locul sub bolta de lemn a capelei Posticum, oaza de spiritualitate, pace și armonie care ne va găzdui timp de trei ore.

Călătoria muzicală va fi susținută de Andrei, pe numele lui de scenă Maatus Pealler, un făuritor de povești sonore care împletește în seturile sale muzici culese de prin toate colțurile lumii.

Az extatic dance a meditáció egyik formája, amely tudatos és szabad mozgásra hívja a hallgatót a zene hangjától vezérelve. A tánc egy olyan felajánlás, amelyet a jólétünk érdekében hozunk. A tánc által teljessé válunk, megtanulunk szabadok lenni és gyógyítjuk magunkat.

Az esemény egy kakaó-ceremóniával kezdődik, amely segít megnyílni és kapcsolatba lépni a körülöttünk lévőkkel, azzal a térrel, amelyben vagyunk, és a jelennel. Ennek a növénynek a gyógyító tulajdonságai, valamint a testet energizáló és az elmét megtisztító képessége a maja civilizáció kora óta ismert.

Az általunk kínált ceremoniális minőségű kakaó Peruból származik. Mivel nem esik át különböző feldolgozási folyamatokon, megőrzi tulajdonságainak nagy részét, ellentétben a kereskedelemben megtalálható szokásos kakaóval. A magnézium, vas, kalcium és B-vitaminok mellett a kakaó egy különleges összetevőt is tartalmaz, a teobromint, amely keserű, vizelethajtó alkaloid, amely serkenti a szívműködést.

A Diana által előkészített kakaó-ceremónia után egy vezetett bemelegítés következik Petrával, melynek során felkészítjük testünket a táncra, és megtaláljuk a helyünket a Posticum kápolnájának fa-boltozata alatt, amely önmagában egy harmonikus oázis, és amely otthont ad ennek az eseménynek három órán át.

– Nem. Az a cél, hogy a semmi vágyjon rád.

A zen a belső szabadság útja, mely mindenki előtt nyitva áll. Egy út, amelyen keresztül megszabadulunk gondolataink zűrzavarától, a tudatunkat terhelő folyamatos és nyugtalanító zsongástól. Egy út, amelyen keresztül elérhetünk legmélyebb gyökereinkig, megtudhatjuk, honnan jöttünk, hová megyünk. A zen gyakorlata során, tudatunk lecsendesítésével választ kapunk ezekre a kérdésekre, jóllehet ez olyan tapasztalati válasz, amely nem foglalható szavakba.

A zazen ülő meditációt jelent, amely során a lélegzetünkre figyelünk.  A gyakorlás lényege, hogy túljussunk a személyes nézeteinken, minden ránk kényszerített elképzelésen, és megérkezzünk ahhoz az alaphoz, amely mindannyiunkban közös. Fontos megjegyezni, hogy a zen által nemhogy elveszítenénk egyediségünket, beleolvadva valami megnevezhetetlenbe, hanem megtaláljuk azt, akik valójában vagyunk.

Ezen a ponton kapcsolódik a zazen meditáció a fotózáshoz, és válik a napi alkotómunka fontos kiegészítőjévé. Fotótáborunkban elsősorban nem a képek megtalálása lesz a célunk, hanem egy olyan belső egyensúly létrehozása, amely lehetővé teszi, hogy maguk a képek találjanak meg bennünket. Ehhez igyekszünk megadni minden elméleti és gyakorlati segítséget személyes tapasztalataink által.

Gyémánt Bálint Trio
Gyémánt Bálint is one of the best known jazz guitarist of the new generation in Budapest, accompanied by other young musicians.
Pat Metheny, John Scofield, Michel Petrucciani and Keith Jarrett have a great impact on his music.
The main guiding line and the team’s co-working principles are freedom, experimentation, and searching for brand new ways, different opportunities. This is their jazz “ars poetica”!

Nagy Babos Rebeka Quartet
Rebeka is a singer from Transylvania. She started her studies in advertising graphics, but years ago, due to a special experience at the Jazz and Improvisational Music Camp at Sepsiszentgyörgy,  she decided to leave her profession and start a career az a jazz singer. She uses inspirations from jazz, folk and electronic music as well. In 2020, the questtet won the Müpa Jazz Showcase best band award, voted by a prestigious international jury.
Their show includes standards, creatively coloured by improvisations, and own ideas, creating an intimate atmosphere.

Introducerea va fi făcută de Peter Terness, medic, doctor și profesor zen (Germania, Heidelberg). Originar din Timișoara (România), cunoaște foarte bine limba română și maghiară. Așteptăm cu drag la Posticum pe toți cei care doresc să afle mai multe despre zen! Zen este o cale spirituală, fiind peste dogme și filosofii.

Born in 1949, medical doctor, scientist and professor emeritus at the University of Heidelberg. Authorized Zen teacher of the “Empty Cloud” lineage by Willigis Jäger. 

Those who are interested in learning more about Zen are very welcome at the Posticum. Participants may address Peter Terness, a native of Timisoara, also in Romanian and Hungarian.
