Napfonat returns to Posticum on 28 April!
After their sold-out Advent concert in December, the five-piece female a cappella ensemble will visit Oradea again in April to present the music of their album Dewdrop in the World Lives in Me, which is based on the theme of the 4 primordial elements. The album tries to bring the qualities of Earth, Air, Fire and Water closer to the listener through the voice of song and to sensitize his/her relationship to the life-giving elements. The album has been included in the most important world music charts in the world, at number 11 on the World Music Charts Europe. And the album's precursor, Like A Drizzle, was a finalist in the DAL 2022 show, one of the top 8 productions.
Napfonat is a special spot of colour in the Hungarian musical palette, as the formation is a meeting of five singers and five frontmen, a creative community, who together work in the broad and diverse genre of world music. They work on their own compositions and folk songs of Hungarian and other cultures, dressed in polyphonic sound. The uniqueness of their music lies in the interweaving of vocal sounds and the important role played by percussion instruments.
All are welcome to the concert!
