Mak\u00e1m este unul dintre cei mai vechi reprezentan\u021bi ai muzicii etno-folk \u0219i world music din Ungaria. Forma\u021bia a c\u00e2ntat \u00een multe \u021b\u0103ri europene, de la Paris la Varna, de la Cracovia la Split, \u0219i a efectuat turnee \u00een India. Muzica lor este influen\u021bat\u0103 de muzica popular\u0103 maghiar\u0103, Extremul Orient, Balcani, jazz \u0219i muzic\u0103 contemporan\u0103. Sunetul lor este unic prin combina\u021bia sa de instrumente etnice \u0219i tradi\u021bionale europene. Cea mai recent\u0103 perioad\u0103 a sa a fost caracterizat\u0103 de redescoperirea formelor arhaice ale muzicii \u0219i c\u00e2ntecului popular maghiar.
